- The sharp book moves firstThe sharpest bookmakers move their odds the second new money or news arrives. They are usually right, and they are always first.
- The slow book lagsThe rest take a while to catch up. Until they do, their price on one side of the match is wrong, and it stays wrong for seconds, sometimes minutes.
- Both sides payarb.gg watches every bookmaker at once and spots the moment a slow price and a sharp price disagree by enough that backing both sides pays. That gap is not a prediction or a tip. It is a mathematical edge, and it is there whichever side wins.

Frequently asked questions
What is arbitrage betting?
Arbitrage betting, also called sure betting or arbing, means backing every outcome of a match at different bookmakers whose odds disagree, so the combined return is higher than the total stake whichever side wins. arb.gg finds those odds, splits the stake and links to each bookmaker.
What does “guaranteed” mean?
The return is fixed by the odds the moment both bets are placed. It stops being fixed if a bookmaker voids one bet or you only get one side on. arb.gg shows a cover bet when that happens, but a cover bet can cost you the margin.
Is arbitrage betting legal?
There is no law against arbitrage betting in the UK or Ireland. You are placing ordinary bets with licensed bookmakers. Bookmakers dislike it, and their terms let them limit stakes or close accounts, which is the real constraint.
Is arbitrage betting risk-free?
No. The maths is fixed once every leg is placed, but a voided bet, a price that moves before you place the second leg, or a mistyped stake can leave you with one side only. arb.gg shows the age of every price and how far each one sits from the market to reduce this.
How much can you make from arbitrage betting?
Each arbitrage returns a few percent of the stake. Profit comes from volume: how many you place, how much you can stake, and how long your bookmaker accounts last before they are limited. Treat it as steady small margins, not a windfall.
Will bookmakers limit my account?
Any account that wins steadily will have its stakes capped, usually within months. Whole pound rounding and spreading bets across books slow this down. Nothing stops it.
How many bookmaker accounts do I need?
The more the better. An arbitrage needs two or three bookmakers that disagree, so every extra account multiplies the opportunities you can act on. Serious arbitrageurs hold accounts at every bookmaker and exchange they can.
Which bookmakers does arb.gg cover?
The 18 bookmakers and 3 exchanges in the UK and Ireland shown above, including Betfair Exchange, Matchbook and Smarkets on paid plans. Free covers about half of the ordinary bookmakers and no exchanges. New bookmakers are added as their odds become available.
Which sports and markets are covered?
Football, tennis, basketball, ice hockey, baseball and American football, on match winner, handicap and totals markets. More markets follow as the odds feeds support them.
How does the arbitrage calculator work?
You set one stake for the whole bet. arb.gg splits it across the legs so every outcome returns the same amount, rounds each stake to whole pounds so it looks like an ordinary bet, and shows the profit as a range after rounding. Edit any odds or stake and the rest recalculate.
How fresh are the odds?
Every price shows how many seconds old it is, in the list and on every leg. A leg that gets too old closes the arbitrage instead of leaving a stale price on screen.
What is arb.gg?
Software that reads publicly listed odds. It does not take bets, hold your money or log in to your bookmaker accounts. You place every bet yourself. Over 18s only.
Do bookmakers pay you?
No. arb.gg is paid by subscriptions only. Links to bookmakers carry no affiliate tags, and the list is never ordered in a bookmaker's favour.
Is there a free trial?
No. Free is the Hobby tool with about half the bookmakers and no exchanges, for as long as you like. Your first 30 days on Hobby run on Pro, and you can cancel in one click.
What is the difference between Free, Hobby and Pro?
Free is the full tool with about half the bookmakers and no exchanges. Hobby adds every bookmaker, including the exchanges and lay bets. Pro adds in-play arbitrage, push and Telegram alerts, and cover when a bet is voided or a price moves.
Can I use arb.gg on my phone?
Yes. arb.gg is a web app that works in a phone browser, with the same list, calculator and tracker. Bookmaker links open the bookmaker's app when it is installed.
Does arb.gg track my bets?
Yes. Log the odds and stake you actually got and the tracker settles each bet from the scores, shows profit per bookmaker and keeps a balance for each account.
